Milli Sólkötlu og Hrútafells er breiður dalur, sem Leggjabrjótur (443-586 mys] heitir. Er hann þakinn helluhraunum frá Sólkötlu. Fyrir botni dalsins er allhár hnjúkur uppi í jöklinum. Virðist hann vera leifar af eldfjalli. Beggja vegna við hnjúkinn ganga fram skriðjöklar. Annar nær suður að Sólkötlu, en hinn norður að fellum þeim, sem ganga frá Hrútafelli upp í Langjökul.
Suður af Leggjabrjót er Karlsdráttur (111); er hann vogur, sem gengur út úr Hvítárvatni.
