History
Hallgrímur Eðvarðsson fæddist á Helgavatni í Vatnsdal 14. mars 1913. Hann lést á sjúkrahúsi Blönduóss 18. nóvember síðastliðinn. Hallgrímur var bóndi á Helgavatni og bjó þar alla sína búskapartíð. Árið 1934 fór hann á Héraðsskólann á Laugarvatni og dvaldist þar við nám í tvo vetur. Frá árinu 1987 bjuggu þau hjónin á Hnitbjörgum á Blönduósi.
Útför Hallgríms fer fram frá Þingeyrakirkju í dag og hefst athöfnin klukkan 14.
