Biographical history
Sigursteinn Guðmundsson fæddist að Nýlendugötu 18 í Reykjavík 16. nóvember 1928. Hann lést á Heilbrigðisstofnun Norðurlands á Blönduósi 20. apríl 2016. Tók þá við embætti héraðslæknis á Blönduósi í desember 1962. Starfaði við Héraðshæli Austur- Húnvetninga allt til starfsloka, í janúar 1999, eða í hart nær 40 ár.
Sigursteinn verður jarðsunginn frá Blönduóskirkju í dag, 7. maí 2016, og hefst athöfnin klukkan 14.
