Aðalbjörg Guðrún Þorgrímsdóttir fæddist í Syðra-Tungukoti (nú Brúarhlíð) í Blöndudal í Austur-Húnavatnssýslu 20. apríl 1918. Hún lést á Heilbrigðisstofnuninni á Blönduósi 22. nóvember 2007.
Aðalbjörg ólst upp í Brúarhlíð. Aðalbjörg var jarðsungin frá Blönduóskirkju 1. des. 2007 og hófst athöfnin klukkan 13.

Legal status
Veturinn 1937-1938 stundaði hún nám í Kvennaskólanum á Blönduósi. Til Reykjavíkur fór hún 1940 og lærði þar kápu- og kjólasaum.

Það sama ár keyptu þau jörðina Holt á Ásum og hófu þar búskap. Þau bjuggu í Holti til 1991 er þau fluttu til Blönduóss. Aðalbjörg og Pálmi eignuðust sjö börn, en þau eru:
