Þorbjörg Bergmann Jónasdóttir fæddist á Marðarnúpi í Vatnsdal 31. maí 1917. Hún lést á sjúkrahúsi Blönduóss 11. október 2005.
Þorbjörg fluttist ásamt foreldrum sínum og systkinum frá Marðarnúpi að Stóru-Giljá árið 1930.
Útför Þorbjargar fer fram frá Þingeyrakirkju í dag og hefst athöfnin klukkan 13.
