History
Hólmfríður Sigurðardóttir fæddist á Hugljótsstöðum í Skagafirði 12. apríl 1913,
Níu ára gömul fór Hólmfríður í fóstur að Undhóli í Óslandshlíð, til Hólmfríðar Jóhannesdóttur og Páls Gíslasonar.
Hún lést á Landspítalanum í Fossvogi 19. september 2001.
Útför Hólmfríðar fór fram frá Bústaðakirkju í dag og hófst athöfnin klukkan 13.30.

Hólmfríður lauk barnaskóla og var einn vetur að Hólum í unglingaskóla.

Hún fór til starfa á Siglufirði að loknu námi á Hólum, þá sautján ára gömul. Síðan lá leiðin til Reykjavíkur 1932 þar sem hún starfaði á saumastofu og víðar.

Hólmfríður var einn af stofnendum Kvenfélags Bústaðasóknar og var virkur félagi svo lengi sem þrekið leyfði. Hún lagði fram krafta sína í þágu aldraðra á Norðurbrún til margra ára.
