Útibú Búnaðarbankans á Blönduósi var stofnað árið 1963 og á vordögum 2003 varð sú breyting á rekstri Búnaðarbankans að hann sameinaðist Kaupþingi og heitir nú Kaupþing Búnaðarbanki hf. eða KB banki. Bankinn er þar með kominn í tölu 10 stærstu banka á Norðurlöndum og eru starfsstöðvar í níu löndum utan íslands.
