Margar myndir Jóns Blöndals ljósmyndara frá 1891 eru merktar „Best & Co.“ Eftir að hafa keypt Best & Co. vinnustofuna í McWilliam Street W. 1 árið 1891 notaði Jón hins vegar nafnið Baldwin & Blondal. Frá 1891 til 1894 var heimilisfang vinnustofunnar 207 - 6th Ave. N., en seint á árinu 1894 breyttist þetta í 207 Pacific Ave.
Baldwin & Blöndal vinnustofan varð síðan Bell Studio árið 1901.
Með þessum upplýsingum er hægt að skipta ljósmyndum Jóns Blöndals í fyrir 1891, 1891 – 1894 og 1894 – 1900. Annað mál er að ákveða staðsetningu. Jón Blöndal ferðaðist mikið og því voru margar ljósmyndir með Winnipeg heimilisfangi hans teknar á staðnum í hinum ýmsu byggðum Íslendinga.
