History
Gustav Vigeland [Adolf Gustav Thorsen] (11. apríl, 1869 – 12. mars, 1943) var norskur myndhöggvari. Hann var talinn einn fremsti myndhöggvari Norðmanna í upphafi 20. aldar og eftir hann liggja fjölmörg verk. Þekktastur er Vigeland-garðurinn í Osló þar sem mörg verka hans standa, meðal annars risavaxinn gosbrunnur sem hann vann að um margra ára skeið.
Árið 1947 gáfu Norðmenn Íslendingum styttu af Snorra Sturlusyni sem Vigeland hafði gert árið 1914 og stendur í Reykholti.
