History
Jón Stefánsson fæddist á Blálandi í Vindhælishreppi í Austur- Húnavatnssýslu 1. ágúst 1917. Hann andaðist á Héraðssjúkrahúsinu á Blönduósi að morgni laugardagsins 14. mars. Jón ólst upp með foreldrum sínum á ýmsum bæjum, en síðast bjó fjölskyldan á Höskuldsstöðum í Vindhælahreppi en fluttist þaðan til Blönduóss árið 1955. Eftir það dvaldi Jón á Blönduósi, nú síðast á Húnabraut 40. Hann var starfsmaður Sölufélags Austur-Húnvetninga, en átti nokkrar kindur sem hann annaðist og hafði sér til ánægju í frístundum og eftir að starfsævi hans lauk.
