Biographical history
Jón Arason er fæddur 20. apríl 1949 í Skuld á Blönduósi. Foreldrar hans voru, Guðlaug Nikódemusdóttir og Ari Jónsson verkamaður á Blönduósi. Jón ólst þar upp og lauk þar skólagöngu. Hann hefur alltaf búið á Blönduósi og unnið þar við ýmis störf, m. a. húsamíðar. I tómstundum hefur Jón mikið grúskað á Héraðsskjalasafninu í heimildum um ættir í sýslunni og þekkir allra manna best sögu Blönduóss frá upphafi byggðar þar.
